Edmonton Catholic student Drew Kantor wins Canspell Northern Alberta regional spelling bee

According to a report by Richard Warnica, in the Edmonton Journal of February 23, 2009 ten year old Drew Kantor, a Grade five student at St. Vincent Elementary School won top spot at the Canwest Canspell Northern Alberta regional spelling bee.
Kantor won by correctly spelling the word was Parnassian – from Parnassus in Greece. It earned him $5000 and a trip to the national championship in Ottawa.
